puppy graduation.

today was the last day of our 8 weeks of puppy class. bogie, tyler, and i didn't miss a class. today was the test. sit, down, puppy push-up, come when called, stay, wait, leave it, drop it, trick (we almost have rollover) and great a person nicely. oh and of course loose leash walking and sit when you stop. we did pretty good, but it wasn't his best. bogie was just a little to excited this morning. anyways enjoy the photo and check out the web gallery for more photos. we will try and post again tomorrow night because we have the may dachshund meet up at the park. should be fun!

glamour shots.

so during dead week, during down time (because i didn't have any finals) aka my spring break had started, Bogie became a model. a friend of mine has a small photo studio, he got to play with the puppy, i got some pretty sweet photos and everyone's happy. the shoot was really fun, although a bit of a challenge because Bogie didn't have a good success rate with the word "come." oh well. didnt seem to ruin the day and we have like million photos. although the only bad thing that happened was Bogie felt the need to taste all the flowers by trying to eat them and then spitting them out. sorry to eric's landscaper, who knew a dachshund would want to eat flowers. not just flowers though, we went to the backyard and he also ate chives that were in the garden. mmm... ymm. not. gross dog breath. anyways enjoy the photos and check out the web gallery for more.

getting back to life.

it has been very busy here. tyler is busy, i am busy... just finished my senior project. check out ivegonegraphic for that. as for school we started puppy class. today was our second class. bogie seems to have sit and down pretty good, we had to teach him to "stand" though to be able to learn to sit. all and all we have all been doing pretty good. last weekend was a big weekend however. saturday was the first puppy class and sunday was the doxie meet up! it was a lot of fun, we think there were about 35 dachshunds. bogie was a little shy, but seemed to be happy with "his people" as tyler likes to say. well the pictures above are from the meet up and more are posted in the gallery.

first trip to dog park.

Hey Everyone!  I finally got around to posting to our blog and though it would be a good time to post some new Bogie pictures.  Today was our first trip to the local dog park and Bogie's first chance to meet some new dog friends.  We were so busy playing we forgot to take more pictures but all his other photos are at the Bogie Gallery.

a new day for the bog-ster.

today was Bogie's last puppy shot. yippee. sadly not off to the dog park until at least wednesday though. hopefully it will rain all weekend that way we don't have to wish we could be out enjoying the weather playing disc golf. thats all. back to the homework.

a new year, brings a puppy.

say hello to Bogie.

he is our new family member.
tyler and i are soo in love with him. he is a long haired red dapple mini dachshund. ( such a mouth full ) he is almost done with puppy shots and then he is become a fabulous disc golf player. mini disc and all. lets see, the house has changed. you laugh, but I clean the floors more often and now we have all these little rugs and way to many toys. ( the little guy is spoiled ) he worries us a little because he loves jumping off things, which being a dachshund is the best thing for their heath. however, he loves the ramp tyler built compared to having to take the whole three stairs down to the art room. i think he just likes it because its covered in a really fury bath matt. thats it for now, but anybody that wants to meet Bogie let us know because he would love to make new friends. i posted a few pics here, but if you would like to see more click here to see more..

frontera grill.

so i thought this was deserving of its on post, because it seriously was the best margarita and guacamole i think i have ever had. with that if you ever go to chicago you must check out frontera grill! its one of rick bayless' restaurant, he is a chef on the food network, which i don't think i knew of before. anyways who cares though, seriously made my trip, thats for the tip charmaine and jeff! with that here are a few pictures to make your mouth water and wish you had been there with us.
