glamour shots.

so during dead week, during down time (because i didn't have any finals) aka my spring break had started, Bogie became a model. a friend of mine has a small photo studio, he got to play with the puppy, i got some pretty sweet photos and everyone's happy. the shoot was really fun, although a bit of a challenge because Bogie didn't have a good success rate with the word "come." oh well. didnt seem to ruin the day and we have like million photos. although the only bad thing that happened was Bogie felt the need to taste all the flowers by trying to eat them and then spitting them out. sorry to eric's landscaper, who knew a dachshund would want to eat flowers. not just flowers though, we went to the backyard and he also ate chives that were in the garden. mmm... ymm. not. gross dog breath. anyways enjoy the photos and check out the web gallery for more.

getting back to life.

it has been very busy here. tyler is busy, i am busy... just finished my senior project. check out ivegonegraphic for that. as for school we started puppy class. today was our second class. bogie seems to have sit and down pretty good, we had to teach him to "stand" though to be able to learn to sit. all and all we have all been doing pretty good. last weekend was a big weekend however. saturday was the first puppy class and sunday was the doxie meet up! it was a lot of fun, we think there were about 35 dachshunds. bogie was a little shy, but seemed to be happy with "his people" as tyler likes to say. well the pictures above are from the meet up and more are posted in the gallery.

first trip to dog park.

Hey Everyone!  I finally got around to posting to our blog and though it would be a good time to post some new Bogie pictures.  Today was our first trip to the local dog park and Bogie's first chance to meet some new dog friends.  We were so busy playing we forgot to take more pictures but all his other photos are at the Bogie Gallery.

a new day for the bog-ster.

today was Bogie's last puppy shot. yippee. sadly not off to the dog park until at least wednesday though. hopefully it will rain all weekend that way we don't have to wish we could be out enjoying the weather playing disc golf. thats all. back to the homework.

a new year, brings a puppy.

say hello to Bogie.

he is our new family member.
tyler and i are soo in love with him. he is a long haired red dapple mini dachshund. ( such a mouth full ) he is almost done with puppy shots and then he is become a fabulous disc golf player. mini disc and all. lets see, the house has changed. you laugh, but I clean the floors more often and now we have all these little rugs and way to many toys. ( the little guy is spoiled ) he worries us a little because he loves jumping off things, which being a dachshund is the best thing for their heath. however, he loves the ramp tyler built compared to having to take the whole three stairs down to the art room. i think he just likes it because its covered in a really fury bath matt. thats it for now, but anybody that wants to meet Bogie let us know because he would love to make new friends. i posted a few pics here, but if you would like to see more click here to see more..

frontera grill.

so i thought this was deserving of its on post, because it seriously was the best margarita and guacamole i think i have ever had. with that if you ever go to chicago you must check out frontera grill! its one of rick bayless' restaurant, he is a chef on the food network, which i don't think i knew of before. anyways who cares though, seriously made my trip, thats for the tip charmaine and jeff! with that here are a few pictures to make your mouth water and wish you had been there with us.

return from the midwest.

so most of our friends and family know where we went, because i think we bragged about it forever. but for those who didn't know we got to go to Chi-Town as Kanye would say, but to the normal crowd Chicago. i can honestly say I loved it! i just love big cities though too. that many museums and parks in such a small radius what artist wouldn't. we had both never been before and got to go for super cheep because cal poly payed for most of it ($500 bucks each) because we were attended "The Pack Expo." if i remember correctly, it is or is one of the largest packaging expos in the world. it was crazy, soo big, to big to walk around it in heals for sure. it was also in the largest convention center i have ever been at. the place was almost too big, we found out the last day as we were leaving that we acutally missed one whole room of the show. when i say room, think of something more the size of a huge airplane hanger. anyways, the expo was exciting and overwhelming but the best part was exploring the city! we took public transportation everywhere, it was pretty cheep, fast, and goes all over even all the way to the airport. i have to say the system there is even way better than new york and i thought that was fab. haha. we did a lot of walking, not to much shopping, lots of picture talking, went to three museums, the planetarium, and tried to go ice skating. ( it was supposed to open the last night we were there, but the weather was too nice. lame. ) of course we checked out "the bean," saw lots of public art in the parks, and a first for me... we went to an ice hockey game! it was sooo fun and totally worth it we were hard core and thanks to erik and chelsea we had jerseys! we totally pulled off being locals, haha. i would have to say chicago was one of the best trips ty and have gone on. as a side note, we loved the weather it was nice to get out of California's heat and make our peacoats usefully for once. although we did look crazy, because the locals were saying it was bathing suit weather and there we were hats, scarves, gloves and doubled up on jackets. i dunno if i could handle the crazy wind they get, we never got to experience that. here are a few of my favorite pictures from the trip if you wanna see a bigger collection check out the chicago web gallery we made here. there are two pages worth of pictures and that wasn't even all of them!
