disc golf.

everyone knows we play disc golf a lot. myself maybe once a week (maybe) and then tyler, well he plays when ever there is time? its kind funny how much him and andrew play, the disc collection just keeps growing and growing. the fun part is Bogie goes with all the time. we are working on getting him to sit stay each time we get to a new whole by the launch pad. its tricky sometimes with the occasional appearance of Moab the resident course cat, who recently got a new collar and tag. anyways above are pics of Bogie at the launch pad of the 5th hole aka Moab's tree. this is also pretty much half way and it's the watering hole as well. a little bit of ice water from ty's nalgene into a putter (disc has the tallest edges) and Bogie is happy. more pics to come from carmel. trying to update more often.

Summer started!

It took us a while to do something fun, but we got our acts together. Most of the trips have been for the little booger. So lets see a trip to the dog park one weekend and then the next we checked out dog beach in morro bay. The dog park was funny because Bogie met a great dane. (although we couldn't get a good pic) The because was so fun, because Bogie seemed to have a great time. The trip out was fun for us... we drove out around lunch and finally chose to drive a little farther and went up to Cambria. We ate at this place called Sandy's Deli. Tyler was surprised and very happy with his sandwich choice, I on the other had just felt good I made a good choice on where to eat. Haha. Well enjoy the pics.

Hearst Castle.

So the Monday after graduation, my auntie kim and gramma stayed to hang out for the day. I had been to hearst castle a LONG time ago... so we planned the trip. It was really fun driving up Hwy 1 through cayucos and cambria. We saw zebras along the way and found out the mr. hearst's pet was a dachshund! He also kept up to 60 doxies at a time on the property. The tours really are cool and I plan to go back and take a different one to see more of the property. Plan in advance if you are going to go and reserve tickets because summer is very busy. The picture above is not mine, but click here for more images.

* Tyler didn't come with :(
He still had family in town, so we plan to go again sometime.

Graduation!

(Raquel, Gianni, Ty and Me)

So we all finally graduated. Except it happened on different days. Tyler on Saturday and Sunday for myself. This was just my favorite picture from the weekend. I just love how we are all wearing sunglasses. I will post more pictures later. Woo so glad to be done!

SLO Dachshund Meet Up: June

Monthly pictures from the June meet up. Dragged Ty away from work for a few hours and we attended the meet up. Yes, we are crazy dog people. However he is like our kid, HAHA so who cares. Plus its something free, its fun to do, its outside, etc. Well... enjoy the pics and if you ever want to come with let us know. So funny to see that many dachshunds running around.

puppy graduation.

today was the last day of our 8 weeks of puppy class. bogie, tyler, and i didn't miss a class. today was the test. sit, down, puppy push-up, come when called, stay, wait, leave it, drop it, trick (we almost have rollover) and great a person nicely. oh and of course loose leash walking and sit when you stop. we did pretty good, but it wasn't his best. bogie was just a little to excited this morning. anyways enjoy the photo and check out the web gallery for more photos. we will try and post again tomorrow night because we have the may dachshund meet up at the park. should be fun!

glamour shots.

so during dead week, during down time (because i didn't have any finals) aka my spring break had started, Bogie became a model. a friend of mine has a small photo studio, he got to play with the puppy, i got some pretty sweet photos and everyone's happy. the shoot was really fun, although a bit of a challenge because Bogie didn't have a good success rate with the word "come." oh well. didnt seem to ruin the day and we have like million photos. although the only bad thing that happened was Bogie felt the need to taste all the flowers by trying to eat them and then spitting them out. sorry to eric's landscaper, who knew a dachshund would want to eat flowers. not just flowers though, we went to the backyard and he also ate chives that were in the garden. mmm... ymm. not. gross dog breath. anyways enjoy the photos and check out the web gallery for more.
